How Pre-Orders Work
How it works:
View the samples, choose your item, pay your deposit, and we place the order after the pre-order window closes. Once your item arrives, the remaining balance is due before pickup or delivery.
No deposit = no reserved item.
Peau Polywear uses a pre-order system to help bring in the right styles, sizes, and designs without over-ordering inventory. This allows customers to reserve items from upcoming collections while helping us build each order based on real demand.
Pre-orders are especially important for island wear, cultural pieces, leis, and special-event items because sizing, design availability, supplier stock, and shipping times can vary.
Step 1: View the Samples or Collection
Customers can review available sample pieces, design options, size charts, product photos, and item descriptions before placing a pre-order.
Some items may be available to view during a First Look event, pop-up display, church/community viewing, or online through the website.
Step 2: Choose the Item
Select the item you are interested in, such as:
-
Puletasi / women’s island wear
-
Men’s island shirts
-
Ie / lavalava
-
Candy leis
-
Flower leis
-
Graduation leis
-
Family matching sets
-
Gift bundles
Product pages will include available options such as size, color preference, style, event type, and estimated price range when applicable.
Step 3: Pay the Deposit
A deposit is required to reserve a pre-order item.
The deposit goes toward the final purchase price. Once the deposit is paid, the customer’s item is included in the upcoming supplier order or production list.
No deposit means no item is reserved.
For some items, such as candy leis, flower leis, or custom event pieces, full payment may be required at the time of order.
Step 4: Pre-Order Window Closes
Each pre-order round has a deadline.
Once the deadline passes, only paid deposits are included in the order. Unpaid requests, comments, messages, or VIP list signups are not considered confirmed orders.
This helps keep the process fair and organized for everyone.
Step 5: Supplier Order Is Placed
After the pre-order window closes, Peau Polywear finalizes the order with the supplier based on paid deposits.
At this stage, item availability, sizes, colors, shipping costs, and estimated arrival times are confirmed as much as possible.
Step 6: Updates Are Sent
Customers will receive updates as the order moves through the process.
Updates may include:
-
Order confirmation
-
Supplier order placed
-
Item shipped
-
Item arrived
-
Balance due
-
Pickup or delivery instructions
Shipping times can vary depending on supplier availability, customs, carrier delays, and other factors outside of our control.
Step 7: Final Balance Is Due
Once the item arrives, the remaining balance is due before pickup or delivery.
Customers will be contacted with the final amount owed and payment instructions.
Items will not be released until the final balance is paid.
Step 8: Pickup or Delivery
After final payment is completed, customers can arrange pickup or delivery based on available options.
Local pickup and delivery details will be shared once the order is ready.
Important Pre-Order Notes
Pre-order items are not ready for immediate pickup.
Estimated arrival times are not guaranteed.
Deposits reserve the customer’s spot in the order.
Final payment is required before pickup or delivery.
If an item becomes unavailable, the customer may choose a replacement or receive a refund of the deposit.
If a customer cancels after the supplier order has been placed, the deposit may not be refundable.
Joining the VIP list does not reserve an item.
Commenting on a post does not reserve an item.
An item is only reserved once the deposit is paid.
